"Teaching Brendan at Home"

When Brendan was 9 months old, I read this wonderful book called How to Teach Your Baby to Read by Glenn Doman.  Ever since then, I have been incorporating Doman's methods into Brendan's life.  I have since read the other books in the series by Glenn Doman, How to Teach Your Baby Math, How to Give Your Baby Encyclopedic Knowledge, and How To Teach Your Baby to be Physically Supurb.  We have developed a program that has worked well for us, which emphasizes Encyclopedic Knowledge ("Bits of Intelligence").  If this sounds strange to you, read on.

The basic idea is making special flashcards called "Bits" and putting them into categories of about 10 or so and showing them (very fast - about 1 per second) to the child.  The younger a child is the faster they learn because their brain is developing so rapidly.  Still sound strange?  Well, it WORKS, and the child just thinks it's FUN!  We also go beyond Doman's methods and supplement with educational video and audio tapes, and a foreign language program that is a bit different than Doman's.  Oh, and of course we use the computer!

You want to know MORE?  Please come see about all the ways Brendan learns!
