"Our Church Family at Brentwood Hills"

BHCClogo.jpg (26499 bytes) We go to an awesome church!   Brentwood Hills Church of Christ (BHCC for short) is a 1,200 member church (I'm guessing, here) located in the "Brentwood Hills" of Nashville, Tennessee.   We are growing so fast, and are doing some building renovations and expansion.   We have a great minister, an awesome song leader, a wonderful young families class that we attend, and, as if that's not enough, the kids program (Children's church) is great, too!  Brendan loves it!

This is some fun stuff we do in our class!  This is us on a rafting trip about 4 years ago.  Can you pick out me and Greg?  Kinda hard with those funny helmets on our heads!  (Hint, we are both second from the left!) Rafting.jpg (64720 bytes)
GirlsOnTree.jpg (48875 bytes) We also go camping every year (until this year, because everyone is pregnant) and have a blast!  OK, so we're a little goofy, but, hey, we have fun.  Oh, and we have a girls trip to Destin, FL every year, too.  Gotta get a pic of that on here!

Devotionals

We have devotionals in the young families class every other Friday night, too, where we really get to know each other and share what's on our hearts.  We have these "devos" in our homes and usually take turns hosting.  We have prayer requests and usually follow various books to spark conversation.  But we start off with one idea and then talk for hours on that and any other ideas that pop into our heads.  So we really don't need the book.  It just starts us out.  It's a wonderful and close-knit group.

Other activities and services

We do other activities, too, like an annual hayride, girls shopping trips to the outlet mall in Chattanooga, Christmas parties, Halloween parties (sometimes), New Year's parties, etc.  We help people by bringing meals to the sick or those needing special help, adopting shut-ins and elderly people, supporting the Agape foundation by going to their annual dinner, taking hospital care baskets to people at the hospital for a long stay, and sponsoring inner city children to go to camp each year.

My faith has really been strengthened by this group of people.  We support each other, pray for each other, and just simply love each other!
